I'm sitting here with you
Here on this dune
amongst the web of grasses
Doggedly resilient
And I breathe in the
Tangible invisibility
of your calming magic.
Your expansive presence
Is beyond my comprehension
The horizon a broad illusory trick
of a straight line
I must remember that.
I'm here. Seeing you, I think.
But focused on your surface
I am expecting sameness
Or expecting nothing at all
Until the woman in red, points
Which truly opens my eyes
And now I am looking
Attentive to the possibility
that Life - as dolphin or whale -
might be offering me
A sacred visitation with the wild
Might choose specifically to meet me
As I am longing to be met
But I must be looking
Open to receive
Expecting something
May I hold the mystical image
of 'whale presence'
as alive and available
within the vast waters
of all my moments
May I awaken to this truth
Seen or Unseen.
